SIGN UP TO TWISTERS GYMNASTICS ACADEMY
1. Annual Structure
1.1 The structure is based on a 50 week training year allowing for 2 weeks at Christmas.
1.2 Fees must be paid during the summer holidays as classes continue.
1.3 New members are added on the 1st of every month.
1.4 If your child has been selected to move up a level they will move to their new class on the 1st of the month.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Your first Payment will be collected in advance, and you agree to register with us and pre-authorise future payments to allow recurring monthly payments.
2.2 Fees are taken via Direct Debit on a rolling basis until you notify us via email that you would like to cancel.
2.3 Fees are broken down into 12 equal instalments throughout the year. At Twisters Academy of Gymnastics, we collect all payments via paperless Direct Debit on the 1st of the month for the following month using our payment provider: GoCardless. Paying by Direct Debit saves time as it is quick and easy to set up and only needs to be done once. Payments made by Direct Debit are also fully protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, making it the UK's safest payment method.
2.4 If your payment is returned by your bank for any reason, we will contact you to request and alternative method of payment.
2.5 Any late payments with regard to monthly fees, yearly memberships or affiliations, competitions or other requested payments for services rendered will be charged an administration fee of £5, unless a prior arrangement has been agreed.
2.6 Cancelling your direct debit or removing pre-authorisation of future payments from your account does not mean you have given us notice to end your membership with Twisters. As shown in condition 7 ‘Cancellation Policy’, you must provide us with written notice on or before the 7th of the month to ensure your payment is cancelled (this does not apply to new members – see details below).
2.7 If you do not pay your monthly session fees by 21st of the month your child will automatically be removed from our classes and the space offered to another child. Please contact us immediately if you have any issues with making payments to prevent the space being advertised.
Taster Session
3.1 Twisters do not offer one off taster sessions as children need more than one lesson to find out what the sport has to offer. We believe gymnastics training is never as waste of time for any child.
Refunds
4.1 Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on fees, membership fees, holiday camps, parties, or any other class we offer. Events, shows or competitions cannot be refunded. We advise that you are sure you can attend before committing to an event.
4.2 A refund will be offered when we have made an error in calculating any amount due.
4.3 Refunds cannot be given on Merchandise orders
Insurance
5.1 Twisters Gymnastics Currently provides insurance for every child free or charge.
Injury / Absence
6.1 We do not offer refunds or catch-up lessons for general sickness, however if it is long term, please call the office to discuss the situation and we will try to be accommodating. You will understand that in such cases we are obliged to pay staff and establishment costs for the sessions and there is no opportunity to offer the class to another child.
6.2 We do not allow children to select an alternative class to make-up for a session missed due to illness or injury.
Cancellation Policy
7.1 Membership at Twisters runs on a rolling basis until you notify us that you would like to cancel.
7.2 You must inform us in witing by the 7 th of the month via email if your child wishes to leave the Twisters and stop training. This is to prevent any further payments being taken. You are not required to give a notice period if you cancel within your first month, but you must inform us via email of your intention to cancel on or before the 14th of the month. If you cancel your direct debit without informing us or providing notice, you will be changed a late payment fee to cover Twisters reasonable administration cost of £5 if we are unable to collect the direct debit. If you do not pay your monthly session fees by the 21st month, the system will automatically remove your child from our classes. If you have any questions, concerns or problems with paying fees please contact the office on info@twistersga.co.uk
7.3 Notice to cancel membership cannot be accepted at the club by telephone, telling a coach on the door or via a social media message. It MUST be provided in writing. The method of notification is by way of email to: info@twistersga.co.uk This is to ensure the information is properly documented and input on the central system at the correct date.
7.4 You will receive written confirmation of your membership cancelation via email. This will notify you of the final payment date and the final class date for the member. Please retain a copy of this for your records.
7.5 No-attendance in classes will not result in cancelation of your membership nor does it act as notice of termination. As stated in 7.2 you must provide notice in writing if you wish to cancel your membership.
Changes
8.1 As a customer and valued member of Twisters you agree to follow the club rules and codes of conduct set out by Twisters Academy of Gymnastics. At any time, we may need to make reasonable changes to these rules, and you will be notified in advance of any changes.
8.2 At any time the monthly session fees may be increased to accommodate price increases of rent, coaches and equipment etc. We will provide you with reasonable notice of any price changes in writing via email.
8.3 If circumstances out of our control force us to cancel a regular well published class we will attempt to offer a ‘make-up class on an alternative day, time or date to substitute this cancelation.
8.4 If a competition/event is the same day as your child’s training day no make-up session or rescheduled class will take place.
Health & Safety
9.1 For the Safety and Welfare of your child – ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE we have your up[1]to-date contact details. ESPECIALLY mobile phone, email address and medical information. Any changes to these details should be sent to us via email.
9.2. Notify your child’s coach of any minor health issues or special situations, or any other issue that may currently be upsetting or affecting your child (e.g., cough or cold, illness of a grandparent).
9.3 No Jewellery permitted. Please, no face paint or colour hair sprays.
9.4 Long hair must be tied back neatly, using a plain elastic hair band, (no hair accessories).
9.5 No gum, food, or juice drinks on the gym Equipment.
This agreement will be governed by the laws of Scotland. This agreement along with the ‘Gymnast Code of Conduct’, ‘Parents/Guardians Code of Conduct’ and all associated policies, rules and regulations govern the terms and conditions of membership, the members use of our venues and your relationship with Twisters Academy of Gymnastics. Please ensure you read these documents carefully as they do affect your rights and liabilities under the law.
Please note that by attending a class at Twisters or being a member to a class at Twisters, it is deemed that you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be legally bound by them. Twisters Academy of Gymnastics is Registered in Scotland. Company Number: SC644787
